Impact of FAME 2 Subsidy Phase-Out

The FAME 2 subsidy, which has been supporting the electric vehicle market, is set to be replaced by the Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme 2024 (EMPS) starting April 1, 2024. Rakesh Sharma believes that while the removal of subsidies may temporarily affect the market growth rate due to increased EV prices, it will ultimately lead to a more robust market with serious players and consumers.
