Bajaj Dominar 400 was recently framed into a wrong act. The story started yesterday when a Dominar with broken rear suspension became viral on the internet. The tagline claimed that driving at 40 kmph over a pothole led to this uneven destruction of the motorcycle from the rear end. Things became fishy when various Dominar owners started claiming the act false as brakes of the bike were effective enough to save the rider who recently started moving from a red light. A crack in rear alloy wheel cannot be expected on this speed at all. - background This typical Dominar went through a fall as close inspection will show you the damage on air filter and mudguard, leaving all the claims of the owner in vain. The rider was found guilty of performing stunts on the motorcycle. He went to the Bajaj dealership and claimed a replacement of parts under warranty conditions. It will take around INR 13,000 for the repair of Dominar 400, coming out as the only reason why the owner tried to fake this situation. The dealership advised to go through an insurance claim. - bottom A wrong message was delivered to all those aspiring buyers as some would cancel their plans while others may think twice before going for a test ride. The overall brand value of a motorcycle is heavily effected by such incidents. Bajaj Dominar 400 is India's most powerful motorcycle in its price tag. The 373.2cc, single cylinder engine is good for 35 PS and 35 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox and uses slipper clutch for ease of operation. Dominar 400 is priced at INR 1,41,000 for the base variant. - foreground
