The Ather Rizta, an upcoming family scooter from Ather Energy continues to beat expectations as stand-up comedian Anubhav Singh Bassi recently provided a sneak look at the electric scooter on his social media platform. Despite previous teasers and looks, Bassi's revelation highlights prominent features like the expansive floorboard area apron-mounted headlight and turn indicators and the generously sized fully digital instrument console.

Key Features Revealed

While many details about the e-scooter have already surfaced one absence in the teaser is the foldable pillion footrest suggesting it may be offered as an optional accessory. The Ather Rizta distinguishes itself with a spacious single seat in line with its family-oriented design ethos and departs from Ather Energy's previous offerings with its boxy design language.

Specifications and Launch Details

In terms of specifications, the Ather Rizta is expected to house a 2.9kWh capacity battery pack and a 5.4kW peak power output moto mirroring the configuration of the Ather 450S. Scheduled for a mid-2024 launch the Ather Rizta is anticipated to carry a price tag of approximately Rs 1.3 lakh (ex-showroom including FAME 2 subsidy). Positioned to compete with models such as the TVS iQube Electric and the Ola S1 X+ the Ather Rizta aims to make its position in the electric scooter market.
