CNG Bike

Bajaj has been working on a CNG bike for quite a while now, we saw patents filed for the design surfacing online in September 2023, and the bike was then spotted being tested in November.

Judging by the images, the bike comes with bodywork inspired by Bajaj’s CT lineup, with the knuckle guards and braced handlebar. Bajaj is expected to unveil the bike in 2024, and when it does, it will be the first CNG bike in India. The upcoming motorcycle will be a middle ground between electric vehicles and petrol-powered bikes, in terms of cost. This is because while EVs are still quite costly, and existing users still face a lack of charging infrastructure, the running cost of petrol-powered bikes is quite high.

Pulsar NS400

The Pulsar range has peaked with the 200cc range for quite some time now. Those seeking more performance only have the Bajaj Dominar 400, hardly an out-an-out sporty motorcycle, to go for. Moreover, the Dominar’s engine, while being reasonably sporty, hasn’t been put to use on any other Bajaj bike.

Hence, plonking it into something like, say, a Bajaj Pulsar NS200 (and calling it the Bajaj Pulsar NS400) makes perfect sense. Using the Dominar’s engine will also help in keeping the costs in check, as compared to using the new 390 Duke’s engine. Consequently, the NS400 could have a strengthened version of the Pulsar NS200’s chassis, along with a few other tweaks. It can also become a more affordable alternative to the KTM 390 Duke, Triumph Speed 400 and even the Bajaj Dominar 400. You can read all about it in our story here. Apart from these, Bajaj is also expected to launch newer variants of the Chetak, along with mild updates to the existing Pulsar lineup. So, 2024 certainly seems exciting for Bajaj fans.
