2022 Hero Splendor Gets All-Digital Console With Bluetooth Connectivity

Hero Motocorp has recently added the new Splendor+ XTEC addition to its current Splendor portfolio. Just one day after teasing, the brand launched the bike unexpectedly, which is now available in the Indian two-wheeler market with a price tag of Rs 72,900 (ex-showroom). With the new XTEC variant, the brand has equipped the evergreen Splendor Plus with plenty of cutting-edge technology.

The manufacturer has fitted the 2022 Splendor+ with a fully-digital instrument console. This system comprises Bluetooth smartphone connectivity, a call/SMS alert, a low fuel indicator, and RTMI (Real Time Mileage Indicator). Apart from this, an LED DRL and a USB charging socket have also been offered. The bike also has a side-stand visual signal of engine cut-off, Hero's i3S tech idle stop/start system and more. Here we have a detailed walkaround video by the Youtube channel named "Bike Point By Mintu & Rahul".

This addition of new features will not only make the bike more competitive in the modern era of technologically advanced motorcycles but will also help to keep it worthy of its fans. Hero has offered the bike in four new vibrant shades called Sparkling Beta Blue, Canvas Black, Tornado Grey, and Pearl White, all featuring new body graphics. Besides all these updates, no other changes have been noted. The alloy wheels, handlebar, seat, tailpiece (with integrated carrier), and other components are identical to the other variations.

The Hero Splendor Plus XTEC is powered by the same 97.2cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that powers the other variants of the bike. This engine is combined with a 4-speed sequential transmission and churns out a max power of 8.02 PS and a max torque of 8.05 Nm. The bike comes with both a kick starter and a self-start mechanism as standard. Even so, it gets a unique bank angle sensor that shuts off the engine during a fall.
