Why not? MG has been on fire with tech features. However, Fortuner is not the only car that the Majestor could give a run for its money, if they price it right.

I believe it can compete, but it need not win. In the market there is room for both. Toyota will always be chosen by some people for reliability.

Fortuner is not the real competition, it is Gloster. First, MG has to worry about cannibalizing their own sales.

They would have a chance if they have a diesel variant with good fuel efficiency. Fortuner has a big selling point.

It all comes down to resale value. Can MG match Toyota in that aspect? It won't be the Majestor that makes or breaks this segment, that will be that.

Why not? It's tough, it has a good road presence and you'll never have to worry about potholes or speed bumps. It's different than the sea of hatchbacks and compact SUVs, plus.

But only if I had a really short commute I would. Although it's not the most fuel efficient option for long city drives, the ruggedness of it could be an advantage for short trips.

It depends on the city. In a smaller town with less traffic, sure. But in Mumbai or Delhi? No way, those are too cumbersome for those tight spaces and constant jams.
