Which one is the safest and most frugal - Old TVS Apache RTR 160, Suzuki Gixxer or Hero Hunk?

Suzuki Gixxer is the most frugal and safest bike of all the above mentioned bikes. It comes with excellent running dynamics and exellent braking power also. The bike gets the power from a 154.9 cc, 1-cylinder air cooled engine producing 14.8 BHP and 14 NM of torque. The bike comes with a single disc brake and 5-speed manual gearbox. Hero Hunk even comes with a double disc brake optional model but it is not as responsive as the Suzuki Gixxer. The Gixxer brings a great driving position with its 780 mm of seat height and a raised handlebar. With its 12 liter of fuel tank and excellent mileage, it becomes a show stopper and a powerful competitor of the upper range bikes also. it comes with a price tag of INR 72,199.

For racing I only suggest you to buy Yamaha YZF R15 V2. It has more sporty looks with dual headlamp, more powerful, smoother ride. It has also fuel injected engine. Top speed is almost 150 kmph, which is respectable. It is a better performing bike than RTR 180. Vote for only YZF R5 V2.... no other bike…

The best racing bike out of the both the above bikes is the Yamaha R15 version 2.0. The bike comes with a 149.8 cc, 1-cylinder liquid cooled and fuel injected motor. It produces 16.8 BHP @ 8500 rpm and 15 NM @ 7500 rpm. It comes with a 6-speed gearbox, making it quiet efficient than the competitors. It is having the best in class handling, performance and mileage efficiency. It is aerodynamically much more better then the TVS and also gets a better set of tyres for effective road grip. TVS Apache 250 is a rumored bike and it is said to be based on the Draken concept, which was showcased at an Auto Expo in India. The bike has not been spotted till date, making its chances of arrival this year next to impossible. The bike would be powered by a race inspired, short stroke engine, which is expected to produce 35+ BHP power figure and 22+ NM torque figure. The k03, code name for the TVS-BMW venture bike is ready and testing in Europe, which means that the k03 can be the real bike and TVS Apache 250 would stay a rumor for more time. You can wait for the end of this year as TVS will surely launch something in the last quarter of 2015.

Gixxer SF is a full faired bike with 14.8 ps @ 8000 rpm and 14 nm @ 6000 rpm. It is more stylish than Apache RTR 180 ABS. While RTR 180 has a very good braking system. Milege is great in Gixxer. Apache vibrates in speed 80-90 but Gixxer doesn't. The top speed of those bike is also closer. But Gixxer SF is complete value for money bike here. I suggest you to buy Gixxer SF.

The better bike out of both the above bikes is the TVS Apache RTR 180 ABS. The bike comes with number of features which make it better than the rival Gixxer SF. It comes with a bigger engine, producing much more power than the power generated by Gixxer SF. It comes with a disc brake for the front as well as the rear, making it more safe with its ABS feature being offered. The riding dynamics of both the bikes are excellent and the TVS being more quick and responsive makes itself a better choice over the Gixxer SF. The fully faired design of the Gixxer makes it look like a more expensive bike. The Apache RTR comes with a price tag of INR 86,500 which is only INR 2,500 more than the Gixxer SF. You should go for the ABS enabled RTR 180.

Dude, go for Apache RTR beast because FZ and Gixxer contain large amount of plastic and after you run in village area it gives bad sound from parts and engine and Apache is best bike ever.

Well it depends what exactly you are looking for. If you are looking for looks and performance then CBR150R is one of the best bike but comparatively higher in price than Apache RTR 180. Even in mileage CBR 150R is better than Apache RTR 180. Even I am using CBR 150R since last 2 years. The performance is very good, low maintenance, mileage is good and good for racing. In short this bike packs a punch.

Both the bikes are best in every approach but when compared in terms of road safety and high top speed, the TVS Apache RTR 180 becomes a winner. No doubt in a short sprint, the CBR150R will be on the first place but when the chase becomes a bit longer, TVS with its high top speed than CBR150R will win. When it comes to safety, the TVS Apache RTR 180 comes with double disc brakes and ABS, making it much better in terms of braking power whereas the other one comes with double disc brakes without ABS. The prices have a huge difference in them, with the RTR at a price of INR 86,500 and the CBR150R at INR 1,23,370. The INR 35,000 difference is not fully justified by Honda and TVS RTR 180 proves better at the end.

TVS Apache 200 is expected to launch in the third quarter of 2015 (July-Sept). No hint has been given by TVS yet on its new bike as no spy image has been found for the same. The engine for the new RTR will be a 200 cc motor inspired from the short stroke Draken motor, producing quite a lot of power when compared to others in the segment. It is also said to be with a new and muscular appeal with side by side proper care for the safety of the rider. The BMW connection of TVS may help them with a better built quality for the future products but may lead to higher retail prices.
