I think that people want too much. You can't expect crazy high mileage cause it's not a small hatchback. I think it is reasonable efficiency for what it is and when you consider its size and its features.

In city driving however, the automatic AMT version appears to be more efficient than the manual. The mileage I'm getting, actually I am pretty happy with it.

It's all about driving style. It's easy to get close to these claimed figures if you're gentle with the throttle and plan your moves in traffic.

If only Tata sold diesel as an option. It's peppy enough to make you want to go, but once you do you'll be choking on the thirst.

Being the reason I’m considering the CNG version, that’s why the real world efficiency. It’s a bit more expensive initially, but the idea is that it’ll save you money in the long term.

It's a champ on bad roads! With the high ground clearance I never need to worry about potholes or speed bumps. It just feels like it was made for Indian conditions.

it handles city roads fine but I wouldn’t qualify it as an off roader. It’s rather a high-riding hatchback than a bona fide SUV.

On the firmer side, the suspension. It’s great for stability, but you do feel the bumps a little more than in some softer tuned cars.

It has held up well through some pretty rough rural roads. It's not quite as capably as it might be in a true 4x4, but it's much more capable than a normal hatchback.

Most conditions it’s good, but I wish it had a little more power for the highway overtakes. Fully loaded it struggles a bit on steep inclines.

It's nice and compact to navigate tight city streets, but also has enough ground clearance to get dirty on bad roads. Best of both worlds!

I think it works well with monsoon conditions. It has good visibility and does not feel skittish on wet roads.

It doesn't do it the best, but it does it. And it works with Android again for everything I really need. Not a deal-breaker for me.

Sometimes I find it frustratingly slow. The lag can be very annoying if you’re used to a snappy smartphone. That's my biggest gripe with car.

For the price point though, it was pretty good. Of course, compared to more expensive cars, it’s not the slickest of drives but it has all of the features you actually need.

I have the built in system and I basically never use it. Rather, I simply connect my phone and instead use that interface. Works great that way.

Tata software really needs to step up their game though. Helps a good amount if you're getting regular updates.

I think it is great, coming from an older car, which has no screen at all. It’s easy maybe, I’m easily impressed, but it does everything I need.

The screen is quite nice. Sunlight isn't very great for it.

I’ve had my Punch for a year and the build quality is solid. It’s tight and rollin’ without rattles, panel gaps, and feels sturdy on the road. The difference between then and now though is Tata've really upped their game.
