With the rapid advancements in EV technology, how future proof is the Bajaj Chetak Premium?

by Ashutoshover 1 year ago0 views8 comments
The electric vehicle market is a fast moving market with new technologies and incremental improvements coming out all the time. Advanced for its time, the Bajaj Chetak Premium may have to compete against newer models with better range, faster charge, and additional features. How well is the Chetak placed to remain a competitive player in the years to come? Think about which battery technology, software updates, and upgrade potential there is. Will Bajaj provide a way to update or upgrade existing Chetak Premiums as technology gets better? What is the comparison between the Chetak’s technology and newer entrants in the market? That’s a question that potential buyers of the Chetak Premium have been asking themselves: Will the Chetak Premium still feel modern and capable a few years down the line?

The scooter itself is top notch build quality so it will last. At this rate, however, the tech will feel dated pretty quickly.

While the Chetak might or might not be the most advanced electric vehicle on offer today, Bajaj's brand value and service network will keep it relevant.

The Premium version will age better than the standard Chetak, I think. It has more longevity with the extra features.

A year or two from now, the lack of fast charging is going to be a big issue. Bajaj needs to do something about this ASAP.

I don’t really care about future proofing. The Chetak does what it has to do and does it well. Not everyone requires the most current and finest.

The basic design is solid one, but Bajaj should be more proactive with software updates. On the tech side, they're falling behind.

Compared to some newer e scooters, it’s already starting to feel a bit dated. To stay competitive, range and charging speed need an upgrade.

I believe that Bajaj had the Chetak Premium designed with future upgrades in mind. The battery system should be modular, so that it can be easily swapped when technology improves.
