Will the Royal Enfield Classic 250 cannibalise the sales of the 350 or create a new audience?
The Classic 250's introduction has got people talking about how it could affect Royal Enfield's current product portfolio, especially the Classic 350. The new model might cannibalize sales of its larger sibling, some argue, while others say it could attract a whole new customer base. But the debate concerns whether the 250cc engine will be different enough in price and performance to carve out its own niche. It’s also being speculated how this might impact Royal Enfield’s brand image, which hitherto has been synonymous with larger displacement bikes.

It's a smart move. Now they are competing with the likes of Jawa and Yezdi. So, they have a direct competitor in that segment.

I’m concerned it will water down the RE brand. They don't do small bikes, they do thumpers. This could backfire.

It could even increase 350 sales. The 250 might be tested for a ride, and they’ll decide they want more power, so they’ll upgrade to the 350.

Oh nah, it’ll bring in a whole new crowd. College students who can’t afford or handle the 350, but want the RE look.

It will definitely eat into the 350's sales, I think. It might even sway people on the fence about the 350 to go for the cheaper 250 instead.
