Will the Indian market take to the Mahindra BE 6e's design?

by Ashutoshover 1 year ago0 views5 comments
Car enthusiasts have been talking about the BE 6e's design. It is certainly a departure from traditional Indian car designs, with sharp angles, futuristic styling and Cybertruck inspired touches. For some, it is a bold step forward that will draw younger buyers and tech enthusiasts, others think it may be too radical for conservative Indian tastes. DRLs in a C shape, a coupe like roofline and a unique front end design have all been points of contention. There are also fears about how practical this design will be for day to day use in Indian conditions, especially in terms of visibility and ground clearance. Debates about usability and longevity in the Indian climate are also cropping up about the interior design which takes a heavy screen-based approach to design that's minimalist in nature.

Mahindra is making a bold move, and I applaud that. I guess they went too far, though. It would have been perfect, toned down slightly.

The thing I’m worried about is practicality. Although those sharp angles might look cool, what about visibility? Good luck finding a local garage that can repair those fancy body panels.

The design is growing on me. I was weird at first but I appreciate it now that it stands out. This is sure to get a few looks on the road.

It's too much, man. My parents would never take to something that looks like a spaceship. If they want mass market appeal, Mahindra should've stuck to a more conventional design.

Something different, I think it's about time we had! The BE 6e actually looks like it's from the future and that’s exactly what we need to give the SUV market a shakeup.
