Maruti Suzuki has not hinted at a launch of Swift diesel automatic while a limited edition Swift is on the way from the company. The car uses the same engine, chassis and drivetrain as the Swift Dzire, which already has a diesel automatic variant in India. This makes it easy for Suzuki to anytime launch the diesel AMT in the new Swift. It would raise the cost of the car with the same margin as in the compact sedan version.
