The aim of both bikes is to be versatile and accessible for newer riders or folks looking for a lighter, more manageable adventure-styled motorcycle. Where the Versys-X has a significantly larger engine displacement at 296cc, the CB500X benefits from a 471cc engine, which means more power and torque. But the Kawasaki is lighter and maybe a little more nimble. Riders often argue over which bike's engine characteristics are best, how fuel efficient it is, how comfortable it is for long rides, and what it can do off-road. It’s become a discussion of which of these two bikes provides the better overall package for a certain type of rider.
