Then, why hasn’t Bajaj given the Pulsar 150 a major design overhaul yet?
Bajaj Pulsar 150 has retained a pretty similar design language since its inception and there hasn’t been any major cosmetic update in these many years. Other bikes in the Pulsar lineup have gotten a major facelift, but the 150 seems to have been left out in time. Much speculation and debate among motorcycle enthusiasts has followed. Others say Bajaj is taking a conservative approach, not wanting to meddle with a formula that's worked so well for so long. Some think it’s a cost cutting measure, or that Bajaj is doing it on purpose, to keep the 150 ‘old school’ and not make it too similar to the newer models. But then there’s also the question of whether a major redesign could alienate a Pulsar 150’s core customer base that might be drawn to its familiar look. Is Bajaj letting this iconic model die, or is there method to their madness?
When it works, why change it? If the current design still sells well, why change it?
They’re probably afraid of ruining a good thing. Do you remember when Coke changed their formula? Disaster.
It's pure laziness. Instead of innovating, Bajaj is resting on their laurels.
I believe they’re just keeping it as a budget option. New design = higher cost = higher price.
They are probably phasing it out for the N160? It would explain the lack of updates.
It's become a classic look. Redesigning the Royal Enfield Classic right now would be sacrilege!
They're stuck in a time warp. Bajaj needs to wake up and stop living in 2005.
I bet they have some kind of marketing strategy. If people want something modern, keep the 150 looking 'classic' and push them towards the newer models.
