Maintenance and service reliability of the Tuono 457 – how does it measure up?

by Sukhmandeep Kaurover 1 year ago0 views9 comments
April has a reputation of delivering good performance but bad service network and expensive maintenance. Many are curious about the long term reliability and service experience of the Tuono 457 entering the market. The parallel twin engine on the bike is new to Aprilia in this segment and as such raises questions about parts availability and service expertise. But some riders are concerned about the possibility of high maintenance costs, and long repair wait times, especially when compared to other more established brands in India. Some say that any extra care the bike might need is justified by the quality. There is excitement of an Aprilia and the practicals of maintenance in Indian context.

Though Aprilia is improving their network, it still isn't on par with competitors.

For me, a deal breaker is the lack of service centers in smaller cities.

I have had no major problems after 10,000 km, the key is regular maintenance.

The service costs are high but you are paying for performance.

The engine in the Tuono 457 seems to be more reliable than on older Aprilias.

In the long run, I’d stick to Japanese bikes for peace of mind.

The bike is built very well. Less work overall.

It's a real issue with parts availability. Simple repairs take weeks.
