Let’s compare the Kushaq’s infotainment system with that of rivals like Creta and Seltos.
For tech savvy consumers, the infotainment system is becoming a much bigger part of the car buying decision. The Skoda Kushaq gets a touchscreen infotainment with connectivity options of smartphone, navigation and voice commands. Opinion is divided however, about whether or not it stacks up against the systems offered by its competitors like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos, which have been lauded for their feature rich, and user friendly interfaces. The system is praised by some users for its clean design and responsiveness, but others think it's missing some of the advanced features they found on Korean cars. The debate is also on whether European brands like Skoda are keeping up with the tech expectations of Indian customers, and how important infotainment features are vis a vis overall driving experience.
The Kushaq’s infotainment is actually what I prefer. The Creta's is simpler and clutter free. It's snappier, it's easier to use while driving, but sure, it's got fewer features.
The Seltos is no way close to it, it beats it hands down. In comparison, the Kushaq’s system feels basic. Where's the 360 degree camera? The blind spot monitor? Skoda needs to up their game.
It's good enough for me. As long as that works well, I use Android Auto anyway so I’m happy. The system of the Kushaq is smooth and does the job.
It is a matter of preference I think. Some people like the more minimalist system of the Kushaq. If you want all the bells and whistles, the Korean cars do give you more.
I do miss some features that came to me with a Hyundai though. The core functionality is solid, and it’s very responsive. For better driving dynamics, I’m okay with it.
The Kushaq’s system is good, but it is less modern than a Creta. For Skoda to remain competitive, they really need to step up their infotainment game.
It’s not overly complicated, which I actually like. It’s easy to get distracted by too many features. The system in the Kushaq offers me what I need without drowning me in options I will never use.
