Is the stock CB500X suspension up to light off-road duty?
One of the most talked-about items when it comes to the Honda CB500X is its suspension setup. As it has longer travel suspension than its CB500 siblings, opinions differ on whether it is enough for off-road. The stock suspension works just fine for gravel roads and light trails for some riders, while others find it too soft and soon overwhelmed when the going gets rough. The front fork is nice, and the rear shock is the weak link. A bit of shock upgrade makes a world of difference off-road.
