Is the Hyundai Tucson value proposition still the best thing on the block?

In higher trim levels, the Hyundai Tucson is equipped with a wealth of features and a level of refinement that could easily put some entry level luxury SUVs to shame. It's an advanced tech, upscale interior materials with comprehensive safety features vehicle that is being positioned as a value alternative to more expensive brands. But that also means that fully loaded Tucsons can come close to the price of base model luxury SUVs from Audi, BMW, or Lexus. At first glance, it does beg the question, how much of that can the Tucson really compete with the main stay established luxury marques on quality, drive experience and brand prestige? Advocates say the Tucson provides better value for the money, coming with more features for less money while cynics say the luxury brand experience and higher resale value justifies the premium. It's a debate of whether the buyers in this price range can get a fully loaded mainstream brand vehicle for the same money or a luxury brand vehicle for a lot less, and whether the Tucson's value proposition is strong enough to pull buyers away from the luxury badge.

I cross shopped the Tucson with the BMW X1 and honestly, I felt the Hyundai was more premium inside. It doesn’t have the badge, but I got way more features for my money.
