How reliable is the Royal Enfield Classic 350 S for daily commute?
by Ashutoshover 1 year ago0 views7 comments
The fact that any daily rider has to be dependable makes the quality of the Classic 350 S a mixed bag. Others report trouble free experience and praise the simplicity and ease of maintenance. Some have had parts fall off, electrical problems, and even trips to the service center. The bike’s reliability doesn’t seem consistent, and seems to depend on (among others) the manufacturing batch it came from, how it was maintained by its previous owner, and what kind of riding it was used for. Whether Royal Enfield has improved its quality control in recent years is a subject of ongoing debate, and how the Classic 350 S fares when compared to Japanese rivals in terms of long term dependability. If you are looking at this bike as a daily commuter, you’ll want to know how reliable this bike is in real life.

It's old-school reliable. If something does go wrong, it’s easy to fix it yourself.

From day one I’ve had electrical gremlins. The bike is great but it's frustrating.

The old UCE is much more reliable than the new J-series engine. Big improvement.

I've had mine great for commuting. It's not Japanese levels of refinement, though.

It’s reliable enough, but you need to be handy. You’ll have to tighten bolts and make adjustments.

It's a coin toss. Some are in the shop every month, some are bulletproof.

Mine has 20,000 km on it and no problems. Just stay on schedule.
