How does the Supro Truck do in hilly or mountainous terrain?

by Ashutoshover 1 year ago0 views5 comments
The Mahindra Supro Profit Truck is known to perform well in the urban and highway condition, but how does it fare on steep roads? Many small business owners and transporters know the daily reality of navigating hilly or mountainous terrain. Inclines, speed on uphills and safe, controlled descents are important for efficiency and safety and the truck’s capability to handle inclines, maintain speed on uphills and provide safe, controlled descents can have a large impact on efficiency and safety. So let’s see how the Supro Profit Truck fares in these conditions. Can it pull steep climbs when fully loaded? How many times does it shift through gears on the winding mountain roads? Do the brakes do the job of controlling long downhill stretches? Tell us about your experiences and thoughts on whether the Supro is a mountain goat, or more of a denizen of flatter lands.

Being a mountain driver, I found the Supro competent, but not exceptional. They do fine on moderate hills but on really steep grades you can feel it struggling, especially if you're near max payload.

I've had mixed experiences. It does fine on most hills but I’ve noticed the brakes heat up really quickly on long downhill stretches. I've had to be super careful and use engine braking more than I'd care to.

In the hilly areas, the Supro has been a pleasant surprise for me. The design is small and turns well for this winding mountain road. But it does feel a little stiff in rougher sections.

It's okay, but not great. In really steep sections I find myself wishing a little more power (especially when carrying a full load). It's that the engine struggles a little bit, and I have to downshift more than I'd like.

Because I live in a hilly area I've been quite impressed with how the Supro deals with the terrain. Even when fully loaded it's got enough grunt to climb steep roads. The gearing is great for inclines and I don’t find myself straining the engine very often.
