How does the Stargazer fare on twisty roads in comparison with its MPV rivals?

Practicality and comfort are more often than not MPV's forte. The Stargazer's unique design and Hyundai's increasing attention to driving dynamics across its range means that its performance on less forgiving roads is questionable, however. What’s particularly interesting about this is that it offers practicality of an MPV without having to give up on driving enjoyment. Some reviews say any Stargazer has a stiffer suspension than typical MPV – and this will affect handling and ride comfort. What does that mean in the real world, when driving on winding roads or more spiritedly? Does the Stargazer break the stereotype of boring MPV driving dynamics?

Surprisingly nimble! In corners the stiffer suspension really helps. It's not a sports car but it doesn't give you the impression that you're steering a boat.

Nothing special, but okay. Tight turns still have a noticeable higher center of gravity. But for comfort with the family I’d rather have the softer ride of traditional MPVs.

I was impressed as someone who loves driving. It also has more responsive steering than you would expect from an MPV. It actually makes twisty roads fun.

It rides comfortably, but with decent handling. You feel every bump because the suspension is stiffer. Not great for motion sickness prone kids.

For an MPV, it's pretty good. Hyundai has managed to put some effort into the chassis tuning. It's not a hot hatch, but it does not embarrass itself on a curvy road.

I think it is a good balance. It's not too harsh but stable enough to give confidence. With that, perfect for those family road trips passing through scenic routes.

I was worried about driving dynamics, coming from a sedan. The Stargazer surprised me, though. It’s written in corners and doesn’t have that top heavy feel that many MPVs do.
