The monsoon season in India can be a nightmare for motorcyclists, with heavy rains, waterlogged roads and poor visibility. As a popular commuter bike, the CT110X ES is probably going to encounter these conditions often. How does it handle wet roads, deep puddles and a greater chance of skidding? What are some features or design characteristics that make it better (or worse) than other bikes in its class for monsoon riding? What CT110X ES owners recommend for safer monsoon commuting? In this article, let's see how the riders have survived the monsoons on this budget friendly bike.

It's surprisingly good! The way the tires work may be decent to run on a wet road. Just be careful and don’t brake to much.

In heavy rain I've had some scary moments. The headlight could be brighter and the drum brakes aren't great when wet.

It's okay if you're careful. Some aftermarket mud flaps made a big difference for splash protection.

Not great, not terrible. It works, but I feel I ride much more cautiously during monsoons.

It handles better, I think, than some more expensive bikes I've tried. Visibility is an aid from the upright riding position.

Light rain is fine, heavy downpours I avoid. On slippery roads, I am nervous because there is no ABS.

I've never had any major issues, just upgraded to better tires however, and that made a huge difference in wet conditions.
