Honda CB350C early ownership in India: should buyers adapt the seat and always-on front indicators or avoid warranty-risky changes?
Early Honda CB350C discussions in India show two different decisions being mixed together: subjective seat comfort and uncertainty about front indicator lamps that remain illuminated. These are recurring owner questions, not proof of a defect.
Verify before changing anything
- Seat comfort: repeat the test over the usual trip length, note rider build, posture, pressure points, pillion use and suspension setting. Compare a reversible cover or cushion with permanent foam, height or seat-pan work.
- Front lamps: check the exact owner's-manual description, whether both sides illuminate consistently, whether each side flashes correctly, and whether the hazard switch or any warning behaves abnormally. Record video and request an authorised inspection if the behaviour differs from the manual.
- Warranty position: obtain written dealer or manufacturer guidance before altering connectors, wiring or a safety-related lighting function. Do not assume a forum modification is authorised or that warranty coverage is guaranteed.
Honda's current India page confirms the CB350C split seat, HSTC, RoadSync, dual-channel ABS, hazard switch and Emergency Stop Signal, and recommends genuine compatible parts. The inspected page does not say that the steady lamps can be disabled or define the warranty effect of aftermarket electrical work.
For your use, which matters most: long-ride comfort, preserving stock visibility, a reversible solution, written warranty certainty or dependable authorised support? What would you ask the workshop to put in writing?
