Does the Guerrilla 450’s 11 liter fuel tank capacity hinder its touring potential?

Fuel tank capacity of the Guerrilla 450 has been a hot topic among the motorcycle enthusiasts. There is no doubt that the bike is a performer and has features to match, but its 11 liter fuel tank is smaller than some of the competitors in the touring segment. That has prompted debates about whether the bike is practical for long rides, with some saying frequent stops to refuel could be a real pain. Others argue that the smaller tank capacity is outweighed by the bike’s fuel efficiency, and that most riders don’t need much more. The conversation usually extends to real world range, fuel consumption pattern and availability of fuel stations on popular touring routes in India.

That is definitely a limitation for serious touring. At 11 liters, you’ll be stopping for fuel far too often on long rides. The rest of the bike looks great for touring, it's such a shame.

I don't think it's as big a deal as people say it is. It's pretty fuel efficient for the bike, so you still get a decent range. And it’s a good excuse to take breaks and stretch your legs on long rides.

I have done a few 500+ km days on the Guerrilla 450 and it is manageable, but not ideal. If you know it, it’s not a deal breaker, but you have to plan your fuel stops more carefully.

The small tank is a design choice to keep the bike compact, agile. For city riding and weekend trips, it’s more than enough. If you're a serious tourer then there are always aftermarket solutions such as auxiliary fuel tanks.

I think this is being over thought. How often do you actually ride more than 200-250 km without stopping? For most real world scenarios the 11 liter tank is good.
