Could the Hero Surge S32 be used to cut down on traffic congestion in crowded cities?

In many urban areas, traffic congestion is a major problem that lowers quality of life and economic productivity and harms environmental health. The Hero Surge S32 is a dual mode design, and this provides an interesting potential solution to this problem. The fact that it can go from three wheels to a two wheel scooter could make it more efficient in terms of road space and parking lot space. This flexibility could also nudge more people to pick smaller vehicles instead of cars for shorter trips or last mile connectivity. Such a vehicle would, however, only be effective in reducing congestion if adopted at rate sufficient to cause a real change to the transportation infrastructure. If a sufficient portion of traffic could utilize the vehicle or such vehicles could be made sustainable or self powered enough to substantially lower their cost, they could help reduce congestion. The question is also whether the process of transformation could cause traffic disruption if done frequently on busy streets.

Absolutely! That flexibility could help more people give up their cars for shorter trips.
