But is the Pulsar AS250 really an 'adventure sports' bike?
The Pulsar AS250 is billed as an 'adventure sports' motorcycle, but the debate has been on if it actually falls into this category. But some riders say it lacks the features that are common to adventure bikes, such as long travel suspension, high ground clearance and off road tires. Some say it is a comfortable long ride and light off road bike with its upright riding position, windscreen, and slightly raised handlebar. The bike seems to have some mixture of sport and touring motorcycle design. As a result, there has been talk about what constitutes an 'adventure sports' bike and whether the AS250 is one such bike or a sport tourer in disguise.
Honest to God, it's more of a sport tourer. However, the AS250 does not have the suspension or ground clearance to do any serious off roading.
I'd say it's adventure-lite. Great for mixed road weekend getaways, not hardcore trail.
Bajaj's just just marketing adventure. It’s a regular street bike with a tall windscreen.
Indian roads are adventurous enough for them. Not everyone requires a full ADV bike to have some fun on light trails and highway touring.
You make the AS250 what it is. Gone on some pretty rough roads with mine without issue. People give it more credit than it deserves.
It's an entry-level adventure bike. Great for beginners that want to taste the ADV lifestyle without spending a lot of money.
To be honest, most ADV bikes never ever hit dirt. If you’re looking for a practical car that can move around the city, and also take the occasional off road trip, then the AS250 is a good choice.
