But how does the Aprilia RS4 125 fare compared to other 125cc sports bikes in real world performance?
Forty years ago, he said, you only had Yamaha and Honda in the 125cc sports bike market; now there’s Yamaha, Honda and KTM. The Aprilia RS4 125 is an Italian designed track orientated bike with racing pedigree, but how does it compare to the competition in terms of on road and track performance? There is often riders debate as to which bike handles the best, which bike accelerates best and which bike has the top speed. It's claimed some like the Aprilia for its edge in corners, others say Japanese alternatives are more reliable and deliver smoother power. So without further ado, let’s see what real world riders have done with these bikes and how the RS4 125 fares in comparison.
The corners of the RS4 125 are on rails. It won't have the fastest top speed of some others, but it's the best thing to drive in the twisties.
I've been on the RS4 and the R125 and I have to say the Yamaha feels less raw. The Aprilia has a character, but it’s not as smooth.
They’re all pretty similar performance wise. It's not so much which one is faster as it is which one makes you feel like a badass and for me, that's the Aprilia.
On the looks front, the RS4 definitely has the goods, however, I found the KTM RC 125 to be more responsive and easier to ride fast.
All of them are restricted in stock form anyway. The real difference happens when you start modding and the Aprilia has a lot of potential.
I've tracked the RS4 and CBR125R. The Honda is more forgiving for beginners, but the Aprilia pays you back for your skill.
All slow, right? Let’s be real. The RS4 at least makes you feel fast, which is something.
