2026 Kawasaki Z300 in India: is the proven 296cc twin worth choosing over newer 300–400cc rivals?
Kawasaki has revealed the Z300 for India. Bookings are reported to open on 19 October 2026, while its price and final India details are due on 20 October and remain unannounced until then.
Current reporting confirms a 296cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin with 38.4 bhp, 26.1 Nm and a six-speed gearbox. A TFT display, telescopic fork, rear monoshock, disc brakes and dual-channel ABS are also reported. Those facts do not by themselves establish whether the bike is better value than newer rivals.
What buyers should compare
| Area | Evidence needed |
|---|---|
| Value | Final listed price, standard equipment and any introductory conditions. |
| Performance | Twin-cylinder smoothness, rival torque delivery, city tractability and highway ability. |
| Hardware | Kerb weight, suspension, brakes, ABS, tyres and useful rider aids from final India specifications. |
| Everyday fit | Seat height, heat, low-speed manners, pillion needs and real-world fuel use. |
| Ownership | Warranty, service intervals, dealer reach, service cost, parts support and resale evidence. |
An established engine can be a strength if refinement, reliability and support remain competitive; newer hardware matters when it improves control, comfort or value. Neither conclusion should be assumed before the final price and specifications.
Which trade-off decides it for you: twin-cylinder smoothness, stronger torque, newer chassis hardware, richer electronics, lower price, service access or long-term parts support? Share your budget, city/highway split and intended ownership period.
