Sadly, most of us will never really push these bikes to their limit. For 99% of riders, the regular Super Duke R is more than enough bike. Invest in riding skills rather than saving your money.

I've ridden both, and hands down the Special Edition is a notch above. It makes a noticeable difference on the suspension upgrade alone. Why not treat yourself if you have the means?

But if you intend to keep the bike stock, it's worth it. If you're going to mod it, start with the standard model and build it up yourself.

Think about resale value. Special Editions don't retain their value as well as you might think, so you could even come out ahead in the long run.

Commuting actually isn't that bad! City riding is a breeze on the upright riding position and low-end torque. And just be prepared for everyone at work to hate you for having such a cool ride.

I commute on mine daily. It’s certainly overkill, but it turns even the most mundane ride into something special. And the quick shifter is a godsend when you have to sit in traffic.

It's doable, but not ideal. It's a bit much in summer traffic, and you'll cry over the fuel economy. It sounds good splitting lanes, but man!

For months, I’ve been commuting on mine. It’s surprisingly comfortable, although you’ll get constant attention and questions at every red light.
Having ridden the motorcycle, I must state that it is worth its price tag, which is slightly higher than what you’d pay for other sport tourers.

Absolutely worth it. The price is justified by the engine alone—no other engine in the class even comes close to that V-twin’s character and power.

What it is, it's overpriced for. With other sport tourers, you can achieve 90 percent of the performance for 70 percent of the cost.

I'd say yes, after owning one. There is no better versatility—it’s a superbike, a tourer, and a commuter all in one.

It’s expensive, but so is everything truly special. This is not just a bike; it is an experience you cannot get elsewhere.

Not worth it for me. Any performance gains are offset by maintenance costs and reliability concerns typical of most of these materials.

It holds its value well, but it's an expensive price. If you decide to sell, you’ll get more back, but you’ll spend more upfront.

It depends on what you value. Yes, if you want the best-performing sport tourer, no matter the cost. If you have a more budget-conscious side, then look elsewhere.
