I wouldn't recommend it. On the highways, the 160cc engine struggles more with luggage. On long trips you'll be constantly revving it and that gets tiring.

Weekend getaways are okay but I would not do any serious touring. After a few hours on the highway, the lack of wind protection becomes a real issue.

With some mods, it can work! Throw a windscreen, a better seat, and some luggage on it and it becomes a pretty decent light tourer. Just backroads, backroads, backroads, enjoy the journey.

Absolutely not for touring. Because the tank is small, you have to stop often, and the vibrations at higher speeds get old in a hurry. Instead, save up for a proper touring bike.

It's all about expectations. It can be a fun way to explore if you’re okay with a laid back pace and sticking to secondary roads. It’s not a highway cruiser, however.

On mine, I’ve done a few 500km+ trips. It's doable, but not ideal. You have to plan your route carefully, and take regular breaks because of the bike's limitations.

It's definitely seen better days. It all boils down to engine and features that are quite basic compared to its newer counterparts in the segment. It is really time for Bajaj to update it.

I don't believe it's outdated at all. It’s simple, reliable and does what it’s supposed to do. Not all bikes have to be cutting edge.

So compared to the Yamaha FZ-X and the Honda SP 160, it does feel like something from a bygone era. It's just not a riding experience you want in this day and age.

Updates are not being updated. The Avenger starts to feel a bit far behind in time other manufacturers keep their bikes improving constantly. I can't recommend it to anybody tech savvy.

Still competitive for the price. It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles, but it’s a unique cruiser experience that’s hard to find at this price.
The Avenger 160 Street does live up to its 'cruiser' image.

It's a cruiser in looks only. The engine is a 160cc and it just doesn't have the grunt to make you feel like you're really on a cruiser. It is more like a commuter.

It’s a poser bike, let’s be real. The Avenger 160 just isn't about presence and power, and so true cruisers they are not. Save up for something bigger.

It is a cruiser essence in an Indian context. Here our roads and traffic are different, so a smaller, more manageable cruiser makes sense.

I'd call it a "cruiser-lite." It provides you with some of the style and comfort, but not the performance. It's a good way to start towards bigger cruisers.

It is its own thing, the Avenger 160, a uniquely Indian take on the cruiser concept. That’s not a Harley, and that’s okay.
