The correct top speed of Bajaj Pulsar 220F is said to be 136 kmph. There have been videos of the Pulsar reaching 163 kmph but the tested speed is said to be much lower than that. The Pulsar 220F is powered by an oil cooled 220 cc engine producing 20.8 BHP and 19.12 NM of torque. It is one of the favourite Pulsar's of all time and comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The Bajaj Pulsar RS200 currently sells through a limited number of outlets and its plans of entering the Canteen Stores Department this year has not yet been revealed by any of the personnel of the CSD. The current list of Pulsar's available in CSD can be checked from their official website, which currently houses Pulsar DTS-i series(150, 180, 220F), LS135 and NS200. You can even contact them for more precise information on method and time of addition of the Pulsar RS200 to the list. The Pulsar RS200 comes with a 199.5 cc engine producing 24.2 BHP and 18.6 NM of torque. It engine remains the same as NS200 but gets fuel injection and further tuning for better and refined performance.

The Bajaj Pulsar AS200 would get more refined as its first 3 services are done. The vibrations are generally caused at higher rpm's and high speeds. The bike gets a refined engine in the form of 199.5 cc liquid cooled motor. You should not worry as frequent servicing would make the ride quality better day by day and the pickup would increase after the service also. The bike gets 18.3 NM of torque, making it good to accelerate the bike in 2nd gear. You should consult your nearest Bajaj service center as the fuel settings and other details are also responsible for lower pickup in the first few service intervals.

Yes your friend is right. It is out-dated now as Bajaj has launched AS200 to replace it with much more power and features and value for money. Both are semi fared but AS200 has much better looks. So I suggest you to go for AS200 as it’s a new bike.
