Depends on your riding style. The disc is the way to go if you’re more aggressive or ride in hilly areas. Drums are OK for relaxed city commuting.

Braking power is not all that it's about. It makes the disc look way cooler, and might even help with resale value down the line. If you are going to sell in a few years, worth considering.

I honestly think it's just a marketing gimmick. The Discover’s drum brakes are already pretty good. Save your money.

I can tell you it is worth it because I upgraded from drum to disc. It is quickly forgotten how expensive it was initially, but you appreciate the improved braking everyday.

The Discover was surprisingly comfortable, I've done a 500km trip on it. It's no Gold Wing, but for the money it's a reasonable tourer.

Are you kidding? This wasn't a touring bike. You'll be miserable after 100km. Just do city rides and short trips.

It's all about expectations. If you don't mind a slower pace and more stops, the Discover can do the tours. Just don't expect luxury.

Mine had a small windscreen and soft luggage added. Now it is my weekend tourer and does the job. The journey is what it’s all about, not the bike.

For short tours (200-300km) I'd say it's fine. After that, you’ll wish you had a bike more tour oriented.

Torture rack is an understatement. For more than 10 minutes, my girlfriend won't ride on it. It's a deal-breaker for couples.

I put a gel cushion cover on it, and it’s actually pretty comfortable now. A little DIY goes a long way!

In this segment of bikes, the Discover’s pillion seat is average compared to other bikes. Not great, not terrible. You get what you pay for.

Having ridden pillion quite often, I’d say it’s fine for short trips, but after 30 minutes or so, it starts to become uncomfortable. Definitely room for improvement.

I think people exaggerate. It’s not a luxury tourer, it’s a budget commuter. The pillion seat is good enough for daily city use.

The real issue is where the footpeg is. Overall pillion experience would have been much better if Bajaj had placed them better.
