In city traffic, I get a pretty impressive 65 kmpl consistently. My friend’s Honda shine is more efficient than this.

I think the disc version drinks a little more fuel. It's only about 5-7 kmpl less than the claimed figure, but that’s decent.

It’s super sensitive to riding style, but fuel efficiency is good. Ride aggressively and it plummets. Smooth riding is key.

I went from a Splendor to the Discover and my fuel costs actually went up. It was noticeable, not by much.

It's right in line with the majority of 125cc bikes I've ridden. The real advantage is that you have a larger fuel tank, meaning fewer fill ups.

It's thirstier than I expected in stop and go traffic. It is great on open roads, however. Pretty good overall, averages out.

Most 125cc bikes are honestly not far apart with regards to fuel efficiency. It is not exceptional, but competitive.

It is a great platform for mild mods. I put in a custom exhaust and it sounds amazing without being too loud. Great for some personalization.

To be honest, it's not the best if you're heavy modding. It’s not really designed for the frame and suspension. Stick to cosmetic changes.

In fact, the disc brake version is actually harder to mod in some ways. It’s a pain finding aftermarket wheels that fit properly.

I've added a small flyscreen and a couple of auxiliary lights. It makes a big difference for touring without going overboard.

I do like it for mods, but be careful. You make too many changes and you may void your warranty or run into legal issues with inspections.

A good mod list for this bike is practical mods: better tires, a more comfortable seat, perhaps a gear indicator. Maintains the commuter spirit, but the ride is better.

Absolutely worth it. You have much better control with the disc brake, even in the wet. I've had both versions and there is night and day difference in braking confidence.

Nah, too much for a 125cc commuter. Save the cash and get the drum brake. It's not like you're racing this thing, and city speeds are plenty with drums.

Depends on your riding style. If you're aggressive, or get stuck in traffic, go with the disc. Drums are fine and cheaper to maintain for relaxed commuting.

I'd say go for the disc. Besides the stopping power it’s also about brake feel and modulation. Overall it just makes for a more enjoyable ride.

I really regret not getting the disc version though. Drums work fine, but there’s always that nagging what if in sudden braking situations.
