Both the bikes are actually for two totally different type of riding styles. Bajaj AS150 comes with high seat height, longer suspension travel and a semi faired design. On the other hand, Avenger 150 Street is a city oriented cruiser with low seat height, relaxed riding position and matted body shade. Without a kick, the problems are certainly more when the battery health is not as good as normally required. It can create problems when your battery runs out of charge but normally you have to replace your battery every 3-4 years in order to stay away from the problem.

You can replace the tyres on Bajaj Avenger 150 and get the tubeless tyres for a very low amount from an aftermarket shop. They will swap your new tube tyres and replace them with similarly sized tubeless units.

Bajaj Avenger 200 is out of the launch list vehicles as Bajaj has recently launched the new 150cc and 220cc Avenger for the market. The all new 150cc Avenger features a blue shade with dark theme whereas 220cc has been further divided into Street and Cruise options. The 220 Street comes with Matt Black theme whereas the 220 Cruise comes with chrome styling. The 150cc Avenger has been priced at INR 75,000 whereas the 220cc models are priced for INR 84,000.

There is no doubt that Avenger is more powerful than FZS because the big reason is 220cc VS 149cc...but in style and mileage Yamaha is ahead...FZS has quite good look & built quality than Bajaj's avenger & both bikes are family ride bike....and FZS have split seat and more comfortable than avenger....in my point of view where is good looks, good mileage, good built quality and more features there should I go....why should I go for avenger only for its more power? It will possible if the both bikes have same engines....there is a point to think...i think you should go for FZS F1 V2.0

The Bajaj Avenger 220 comes with a service interval of 5,000 km. The bike uses Bajaj's 10000 engine oil, which is drained after 10,000 kms. This means the second service would be with oil topping and other mechanical corrections only. The bike comes with a 220 cc, DTS-i engine producing 19 BHP and 17.5 NM of torque. The Avenger currently comes with a 220 cc oil cooled engine shared with the Pulsar 220F. The bike produces 19 BHP and 17.5 NM of torque. It comes with a single disc brake for the front wheel and reaches a top speed of 135 kmph. it comes with wide tyres for better on-road grip and comes with a price tag of INR 81,500. The new version of the same has been rumored to be with the 199.5 cc engine from the current lineup of Pulsar's. No evidence for the same as been currently found.

Bajaj Avenger 220 – Feel Like GOD

The 2006 Avenger came with a 180 cc engine, producing 16.3 BHP and 15.3 NM of torque. The motorcycle should not be bought for INR 30,000 as its market value comes out to be INR 18,000-20,000 only. You should buy it by checking all the essentials like engine, gearbox and suspension thoroughly as it has been driven for 9 years and would have covered more than 50,000 km. Tyres and brakes can be easily replaced as they does not cost much and require regular changing and checkup whereas the engine and gearbox problem can ruin the bike's life. You can get it checked from the Bajaj authorized service center before buying.

The Bajaj Avenger 220 is priced at INR 81,500 currently and you should pay INR 32,000 for the purchase of the 2008 model. Being 7 years old, the bike will have half of its value directly gone in the first five years and rest of the depletion takes it to the stated value. Only 8,000 kms on the odometer states that whether the odometer has been not working during most of its journey or the bike has been driven very less. You should consult a mechanic as non running bikes sometime have serious engine problems related to them and many of the time the seller is not relieving the real truth behind the scene, that why has been it driven so less. Fluids in the bike create a lot of problem when you let them be idle for a long period of time.

Bajaj Avenger was priced at INR 72,800 on its discontinuation. Its price in 2006 cannot be exactly retrieved from any source. The favorite of its time featured a long and relaxed seat with fully comfortable riding dynamics. The 180 cc model shared its engine with the much popular Pulsar 180 DTS-i, producing 16.3 BHP.

The Bajaj Avenger is currently available with the 220 cc engine and rumors about a 200 cc Avenger have been around from quiet a long time. Bajaj is focusing mainly on Pulsar brand at the moment and they will not be dealing with the Avenger till all the Pulsar cards have been exposed. We expect to have the same 200 cc engine in the Avenger which is shared in the Pulsar family at the moment.

The Bajaj Avenger would be better option than waiting for the UM Global Renegade Commando as its launch plans has still not been made clear. UM will enter with its basic motorcycles first and later would introduce the higher range. The Avenger is powered by a very successful 220 DTS-i engine, which also powers the all time favorite Pulsar 220F.

So, I would recommend you to go for Avenger 220. The Avenger 220 is powered by a powerful 219.89 cc 4-stroke, single cylinder, DTS-i, air cooled with oil-cooler engine. It gives maximum output of 19 Bhp @ 8400 rpm and torque of 17.5 Nm @ 7000 rpm. It has a broad rear tyre for better grip and safety. The suspension system is consists of 260 mm disc brakes with telescopic suspension at the front and 130 mm drum brakes with hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear side.
