The Volvo S60 D3 Kinetic has been priced at Rs 23.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), making it the least expensive Volvo in India and placing it competitively against the Skoda Superb and Volkswagen Passat. This new pricing strategy is aimed at increasing Volvos market share in the Indian luxury car segment. I believe this pricing will definitely draw more attention to the S60.

The S60 D3 Kinetic offers a comfortable ride, especially at slow speeds, with a pliant suspension that handles minor road imperfections well. However, it does exhibit some body movement in bends and is not as agile as some of its competitors like the BMW 3-series. I think the comfort aspect will appeal to many buyers.

The S60 D3 Kinetic is known for its strong mid-range torque, typical of diesel engines, which becomes particularly evident once past the 2000rpm mark. However, it is advised not to push the engine to its upper limits as it can feel strained and noisy. I believe this characteristic makes it well-suited for everyday driving.
