USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Volkswagen Vento Comfortline Automatic is a solid choice for those seeking a reliable and performance-oriented sedan. My experience with this car has been overwhelmingly positive, particularly in terms of its driving dynamics. The Vento feels rock solid on highways and handles corners with ease, thanks to its well-tuned suspension and responsive steering. The new 6-speed automatic torque converter gearbox, although not as refined as the DSG, is quick and responsive, especially in Sport mode. However, the creep function can be a bit aggressive, requiring some adjustment in stop-and-go traffic. The interior is well-appointed with a solid fit and finish, comfortable seating, and useful features like rain-sensing wipers and auto-dimming IRVM. While the design may feel a bit dated, the Ventos German build quality and excellent on-road performance make it a compelling option in its segment.
Price
The Volkswagen Vento Comfortline Automatic is priced competitively in the Indian market. The ex-showroom price for this variant starts at around Rs. 12.10 lakh for the Highline variant and goes up to Rs. 13.30 lakh for the Highline Plus variant. On-road prices, including taxes and other costs, can range from approximately Rs. 14.5 lakh to Rs. 16 lakh, depending on the state and local taxes. This pricing positions the Vento favorably against its competitors, offering a balance of features, performance, and value. However, its worth noting that the automatic option is only available in the higher-spec variants, which might limit choices for budget-conscious buyers.
