Volkswagen Vento AllStar Edition

About
The Volkswagen Vento AllStar Edition is based on the Comfortline trim and comes with several cosmetic changes to differentiate it from the standard model. It is available with either a 1.6-litre petrol engine or a 1.5-litre diesel engine, both of which are known for their refinement and performance. The car features auto AC with rear AC vents, auto-dimming IRVM, LED headlights, and a reverse parking camera, among other amenities. The interior is comfortable, with features like leather seats and a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Vento also boasts solid build quality and sporty handling, making it a great option for those who enjoy driving and value durability. Despite its aged design, the Vento remains a strong contender in the compact sedan segment.

USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Volkswagen Vento AllStar Edition is a special iteration of the Vento, which, although launched a few years ago, still holds its ground in the compact sedan segment. What I appreciate about this car is its solid build quality and the refined engines, particularly the 1.6-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel options. The AllStar Edition brings some cosmetic enhancements, making it slightly more appealing than the standard model. However, it lacks some modern features that newer cars in the segment offer. Despite this, the Ventos sporty handling and comfortable ride make it a great choice for those who prioritize driving dynamics and build quality.
Price
The Volkswagen Vento AllStar Edition, when it was launched, was priced competitively within the compact sedan segment. Although the exact prices for the AllStar Edition are not current, the standard Vento models are priced between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 14.44 lakh (ex-showroom pan-India). On-road prices would typically range from Rs 11.5 lakh to Rs 16.5 lakh, depending on the state and local taxes. Given its features and performance, the Vento offers good value for money, especially for those looking for a well-built and reliable sedan.
Latest Updates
Saturday, 27 October 2018 01:52 AM The car was priced at Rs. 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the specific trim, making it an affordable yet feature-rich option in the market. This pricing point is likely to appeal to a wide range of buyers.
Saturday, 27 October 2018 05:00 AM The Vento AllStar Editions interior and exterior design changes were well-received, with the Blue Silk paint and Linas alloy wheels being notable highlights. These aesthetic enhancements were designed to make the car stand out from the standard Vento models. I think these changes successfully give the car a more premium look.
Friday, 08 September 2017 07:19 AM The Volkswagen Vento AllStar Edition, launched as part of the Volksfest 2017, features cosmetic upgrades both inside and out. Based on the Comfortline trim, it includes Linas alloy wheels, an all-new Blue Silk exterior paint, and Allstar badging. The interior boasts a black and grey color theme, leather-wrapped handbrake, aluminium pedals, and Pentastripe Anthrazit fabric seats. I think these aesthetic changes make the Vento look more stylish and exclusive.
Friday, 08 September 2017 05:52 PM Mechanically, the Vento AllStar Edition remains the same as the standard Vento, offering both 1.6-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine options. The petrol engine produces 105 hp and 175 Nm of torque, while the diesel engine delivers 110 hp and 250 Nm of torque, with transmission options including a 5-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic for the diesel variant. This ensures the car has the necessary power and transmission choices for various driving preferences.
Friday, 08 September 2017 03:03 AM The Vento AllStar Edition is positioned below the Highline Plus variant but above the Highline trim in the Vento range. It inherits features from the Comfortline trim, such as electrically adjustable ORVMs, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, cruise control, and automatic climate control. This placement makes it an attractive option for those seeking additional features without the top-tier price.
Friday, 08 September 2017 02:29 AM Volkswagen aimed to capitalize on the festive season with the launch of the Vento AllStar Edition, alongside other special editions like the Polo Anniversary Edition and Ameo Anniversary Edition. This strategy is likely to attract more buyers during the festive period. I believe this is a smart move to boost sales during a traditionally strong sales period.
Friday, 08 September 2017 05:40 AM The pricing of the Vento AllStar Edition was expected to be around Rs. 30,000 premium over the Highline Plus trim, which was priced between Rs. 10.88 lakh and Rs. 13.373 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). This pricing makes it a competitive option in the mid-size sedan segment.
Friday, 08 September 2017 08:47 AM In terms of market competition, the Vento AllStar Edition rivals other popular sedans like the Honda City, Maruti Ciaz, and the newly launched Hyundai Verna. Its unique features and styling are intended to give it an edge in this competitive segment. I think the Ventos build quality and performance will be key factors in attracting buyers.
Friday, 08 September 2017 09:07 AM The Vento AllStar Edition was available in a limited number to maintain its exclusivity. This limited availability could make it more desirable to potential buyers looking for a unique vehicle. I believe this strategy can help in creating a sense of urgency among buyers.
Mileage
Wednesday, 20 November 2024 12:08 AM The mileage of the Volkswagen Vento AllStar Edition is quite commendable. The 1.6-litre petrol engine offers around 16.09 kmpl, while the 1.5-litre diesel engine provides an impressive 22.27 kmpl for the manual transmission and 22.15 kmpl for the automatic transmission. These figures make the Vento a viable option for those concerned about running costs, especially the diesel variants which offer excellent fuel efficiency.
