Toyota has decided to discontinue the Etios Liva by April 2020 due to the upcoming BS6 emission norms and pedestrian protection regulations. The high investment required to upgrade the vehicle to meet these standards made it unviable. I think this move is sensible given the stringent new regulations and the need to focus on more modern models.

A limited edition of the Etios Liva was launched with a white and black two-tone paint job and red accents, inspired by the Toyota Yaris GRMN. This edition was available in both petrol and diesel variants and was priced at Rs 6.50 lakh and Rs 7.65 lakh respectively. I believe these limited editions can boost sales by offering something unique to customers.

Toyota introduced a new Inferno Orange shade for the Etios Liva dual tone variant, available in both petrol and diesel trim options. This new color adds to the cars visual appeal and gives buyers more choices. I think this move helps keep the model fresh and attractive to potential buyers.

The Toyota Etios Liva was praised for its safety features, being the only car in its segment to offer standard dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and front seat belts with pre-tensioners across all its variants. This emphasis on safety is commendable, and I believe it sets a good precedent for other vehicles in the market.

The Etios Liva G trim comes with features like keyless entry, rear defogger, and power windows, making it a well-equipped base variant. The on-road price of the G trim is around Rs 7.75 lakh. I think the balance of features and price makes this variant a good value for money.
