Tata Motors is reportedly hard at work reviving Ratan Tata's dream project, the Nano, in an electric form. The news was first confirmed earlier this year, when the former chairman himself received an electric version of the Nano from the Pune-based Electra EV start-up which he founded himself. This has led to speculations that the company is indeed working on a completely new, built from the ground up, born-electric version of the Nano. The company is yet to reveal any further details about the project, but it is expected that this electric Nano will be powered by a battery pack and is expected to come with a range of features like a digital instrument cluster and a touchscreen infotainment system. It is also expected that the new EV will be priced competitively, making it a viable option for those looking for an affordable electric car.
