The Tata Curvv EV, particularly the 55kWh variant, is a significant milestone in Tata Motors electric vehicle journey. It combines a striking design, a feature-rich cabin, and impressive performance, making it a strong contender in the mid-size SUV segment. The vehicles immediate throttle response, especially in Sport mode, is commendable, with a claimed 0-100kph time of 8.6 seconds, although our tests showed a slightly higher time of 9.6 seconds. The inclusion of Level 2 ADAS features, a panoramic sunroof, and a superb 9-speaker JBL audio system enhance the driving and passenger experience. While the suspension can feel a bit stiff at low speeds, it handles well at higher speeds and absorbs bumps effectively. However, some pre-production glitches were noted, which are expected to be resolved with OTA updates. Overall, the Curvv EV sets a new benchmark for Indian electric cars, offering a refined drive experience and excellent value for money.
Price
The Tata Curvv EV is priced competitively in the Indian market. The base variant with the 45kWh battery pack starts at Rs 17.49 lakh ex-showroom, while the top variant with the 55kWh battery pack is priced at Rs 21.99 lakh ex-showroom.
