The new Actyon will be part of KGM SsangYongs rebranded lineup in Australia, which includes the upcoming Torres EVX electric SUV. KG Mobility has shown a ute concept with a similar design language to the Actyon at the Seoul mobility show, dubbed the 0100 concept. This could be the basis for a new Actyon Sports as a monocoque-based ute to sit below the ladder-frame Musso. I think this expansion of the Actyon line could help diversify the brands offerings.

SsangYong Australia, soon to be rebranded as KGM SsangYong, has confirmed that the Actyon is under consideration for the Australian market. The Actyon will be offered in a simple trim configuration with most customer-preferred specifications as standard. The top-of-the-line model, designated as the Wild, will include features like a leather interior, heated steering wheel, and an electric tailgate. I believe this approach to trim levels could make the Actyon more appealing to a wider range of buyers.

The Actyon nameplate has been revived after being last used in 2011 for an SUV in Australia, although it continued as the Actyon Sports ute until 2014. The new Actyon shares design elements with the Torres SUV but has a sleeker, more futuristic coupe SUV design. I think the revival of this nameplate could bring back some nostalgic appeal for SsangYong fans.

The new Actyon is part of KG Mobilitys push to refresh its lineup and better compete with traditional Korean rivals and newcomer brands from China. The vehicle features an LED pattern in the grille, body-colored wheel arch claddings, and a contemporary light-bar style across the rear. I believe this aggressive design could help the brand stand out in a crowded market.
