Mitsubishi Outlander (2010) Updates

The 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander GT features a significant upgrade in its cabin, including softer, more upscale materials and French-stitching on the dash, along with optional heated leather seats. The interior design is familiar but now more refined. I think this upgrade makes the Outlander a more comfortable and luxurious ride.

The Outlander GT comes with Mitsubishis Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) system, which includes an active front differential and electronically connects with yaw, stability, and ABS controls. This system offers three modes: Tarmac, Snow, and Lock, enhancing the vehicles traction and stability. I believe this system is a significant improvement for handling various driving conditions.

The base price of the 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander GT starts at $29,250, with the option for a $3,000 Premium Navi and Leather package that includes leather seating, navigation, and a rearview camera. I believe the pricing is competitive given the features and performance.

In performance tests, the 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander GT accelerated from 0 to 60 mph in seven seconds and completed the quarter mile in 15.5 seconds at 92 mph. However, the brakes were noted to be soft and mushy with an on/off feel, and brake fade was an issue. I think the Outlander GTs performance is impressive, but the brakes could be improved.

In terms of fuel efficiency, the 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander GT has EPA ratings of 18 mpg city, 24 mpg highway, and 20 mpg combined. The auto-neutral feature helps improve fuel efficiency by disengaging the transmission when freewheeling is more efficient. I think the fuel efficiency is reasonable for a vehicle in its class.

The 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander GT features several technological upgrades, including a new full-color multi-information display, a USB input with iPod connectivity, and a Rockford Fosgate stereo system with 710 watts of power. Additionally, it includes a 40GB music storage system and real-time traffic information. I believe these tech features make the Outlander GT a more modern and convenient vehicle.

The interior of the 2010 Outlander GT includes motorcycle-style gauge housings and a center color LCD display. The vehicle is configured for seven passengers in three rows, although the third row is noted to be less spacious. I think the interior design is stylish, but the third row could be more comfortable.

The 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander GT is powered by a 3.0-liter V6 engine, producing 230 horsepower and 215 pound-feet of torque. This engine is paired with a six-speed ‘Sportronic’ transmission, which offers smooth shifts in Drive mode and crisp shifts in manual mode using column-mounted paddles. I think this drivetrain is well-suited for the Outlanders performance needs.

Mitsubishi introduced the 2010 Outlander GT with a new front end, influenced by the Lancer Evolution road rally cars. It includes a blacked-out trapezoidal grille, narrow bi-xenon HID headlights, and large foglights. The GT also features 18-inch alloy wheels and side sills with a silver strip, giving it a sporty stance. I believe these design elements make the Outlander GT stand out in its class.

Consumer Reports noted that reliability data for the 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander was limited, but it suggested that the model might be more reliable based on Mitsubishis brand scores. However, the reliability could vary depending on various factors. I believe its important to monitor reliability reports over time to get a clearer picture.
