This marked the beginning of deliveries for the vehicle, which was highly anticipated in the Indian market. I think this was a great move to capitalize on the festive season.

Thursday, 21 October 2021 11:12 PM Bookings for the new MG Astor commenced, and customers could pre-book the compact SUV for a token of Rs. 25,000. MG Motor India announced that deliveries would begin from November 2021. The booking process could be done either on the companys official website or by visiting an authorized MG showroom.

The vehicle was the Chinese automakers fifth model to go on sale in India and was notable for being the petrol-powered version of the MG ZS EV. It also featured an AI-based personal assistant and Level 2 autonomous technology with ADAS functions. I believe this launch was a significant step for MG in the Indian market.
