Tuesday, 16 May 2017 08:27 PM On May 16, 2017, Maruti Suzuki launched the third-generation Dzire, dropping the Swift nameplate for the first time in India. The new Dzire was built on the HEARTECT platform, making it lighter and more rigid. It featured a hexagonal grille, sweptback headlamps, and increased rear legroom and boot space. I believe this rebranding helped establish the Dzire as a standalone model rather than just a variant of the Swift.
Tuesday, 16 May 2017 07:47 PM The third-generation Dzire introduced several safety features, including dual airbags, seatbelt with pre-tensioners, anti-lock braking system with EBD, and Isofix child seat anchor points as standard. This focus on safety was a significant improvement over previous models. I think this move was crucial in enhancing the cars safety credentials and appealing to safety-conscious buyers.
Tuesday, 16 May 2017 07:21 PM The 2017 Dzire also saw the introduction of an automated-manual transmission (AMT) option for the petrol variant, in addition to the existing diesel AMT. This expanded the transmission options for buyers, making the car more appealing to a wider audience. I believe this addition made the Dzire more competitive in the market.
Tuesday, 16 May 2017 07:59 PM The third-generation Dzire featured a completely revised external body design with a focus on the front section, including a new hexagonal grille and projector headlamps. The interior saw updates like a flat-bottom steering wheel and a touchscreen system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. These changes gave the car a more upmarket stance. I think these design updates were well-received by consumers looking for a modern and feature-rich compact sedan.
Tuesday, 16 May 2017 09:00 PM The Swift Dzire competed against models like the Tata Indigo eCS, Toyota Etios, and Mahindra Verito. Despite the competition, the Dzire managed to maintain its market share and popularity due to its refined design, improved fuel efficiency, and enhanced features. I believe the Dzires success was a result of Maruti Suzukis continuous efforts to improve and adapt to market demands.
Wednesday, 01 March 2017 02:52 PM By March 2017, the Swift Dzire had sold a cumulative total of 13,81,323 units, making it one of the best-selling cars in India. This milestone underscored the cars popularity and the trust Indian consumers had in the Maruti Suzuki brand. I think this achievement is a testament to the cars reliability and value proposition.
Sunday, 01 February 2015 10:22 AM In February 2015, the Swift Dzire underwent a facelift, which included a new bumper, restyled fog lamps, and a new grille. The petrol engine was tweaked for higher fuel efficiency, achieving 20.85 kmpl, while the diesel engine delivered 26.59 kmpl, making it the most fuel-efficient car in India at that time. Prices were competitive, starting at Rs 5.07 lakh for the petrol and Rs 5.99 lakh for the diesel variants. I believe these updates significantly enhanced the cars appeal and performance.
Wednesday, 01 February 2012 05:32 AM In February 2012, Maruti Suzuki introduced the second-generation Swift Dzire, which was 165mm shorter than its predecessor, qualifying it for excise benefits. The new model had a restyled front and a more upright rear profile. Prices started at Rs 4.79 lakh for the petrol and Rs 5.8 lakh for the diesel variants. This design change made the car look more refined and modern. I think the shorter length was a smart move to reduce costs without compromising on the cars appeal.
Thursday, 01 September 2011 05:10 PM By September 2011, within three-and-a-half years of its launch, the Swift Dzire had already seen 3 lakh units on Indian roads. The cars value-for-money proposition and the addition of a boot to the popular Swift hatchback made it a favorite among Indian car buyers. I believe the Swift Dzires success was a significant factor in Maruti Suzukis dominance in the Indian car market.
Wednesday, 26 March 2008 06:01 AM The Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire was launched in India on March 26, 2008, with prices starting at Rs 4.49 lakh for the petrol variant and Rs 5.39 lakh for the diesel variant. This new car was essentially a Swift hatchback with a boot added, making it 4,160mm long. The addition of the boot made it an attractive option for those needing a compact sedan. I think this move by Maruti Suzuki was a genius step, as it quickly gained popularity in the Indian market.

Our car is Swift Dzire 2011 VDI Model. It had run more than 400000 km and still running in good condition. No major issues till date. This car is way too much worth for the money what we paid for the car and love it very much. Now also we take it for the long drive and we could feel that punch delivered by the 2011 fiat engine. The mileage what we are getting now is 18 kpl on highway with AC and 19 to 20 kpl on highway without AC.

Best Features: First I would say it's engine for its good lifespan and reliability.

Pros: Done more than 400000+ kms and still running in good condition with no major issues.

Cons: Nothing like that
