The Maruti Ritz was known for its comfortable ride and spacious interiors, making it a favorite among older people and those looking for a hassle-free driving experience. The car came with both petrol and diesel engine options, with the diesel variant being more popular due to its fuel efficiency. I think the Ritzs comfort and practicality were its strongest selling points.

This automatic variant was designed to make driving easier, especially in heavy traffic conditions. I believe this was a smart move to cater to the growing demand for automatic transmissions in India.

The Maruti Ritz received a facelift in 2012, which included significant updates such as a new automatic gearbox in the petrol variant and additional safety features like ABS and airbags in the ZDi diesel variant. This facelift aimed to make the Ritz more appealing and competitive in the B+ segment hatchback market. I think these updates were a great move to enhance the cars appeal, especially with the addition of an automatic transmission.
