Our take on this /// Verdict
The Mahindra Scorpio Diesel VLX 4x2 is a robust and commanding SUV that has been a staple in the Indian market for years. From my experience, this vehicle boasts a muscular design and an aggressive stance, which is a major draw for those seeking a vehicle with a strong road presence. The interior, while not luxurious, is spacious and comfortable, making it suitable for both city driving and long road trips. However, there is room for improvement in terms of the quality and finish of the interior components. The 2.2-liter mHawk CRDe diesel engine delivers impressive performance, with a notable pickup and sufficient torque, making it a joy to drive on both highways and rough terrain. Despite some minor drawbacks, the Scorpio VLX 4x2 is a solid choice for those looking for a powerful, reliable, and feature-packed SUV.
Price
The Mahindra Scorpio Diesel VLX 4x2, particularly from the 2009-2014 model range, was priced around Rs. 11.10 lakh ex-showroom. However, prices can vary based on the state and local taxes, which would add to the on-road price. For instance, in major cities like Delhi or Mumbai, the on-road price could be around Rs. 13-14 lakh, including registration, insurance, and other costs. Its important to note that these prices are for the older model, and if youre looking for a newer variant like the Scorpio-N, prices start from around Rs. 13.85 lakh ex-showroom and can go up to Rs. 24.54 lakh for the top variant. As of now, the older VLX 4x2 might be available in the used car market, where prices would be significantly lower, depending on the vehicles condition and mileage.
Mileage
Friday, 22 November 2024 03:37 AM
The Mahindra Scorpio Diesel VLX 4x2 offers a respectable mileage, especially considering its size and power. On average, you can expect around 12-15 kmpl in mixed driving conditions. This makes it a relatively fuel-efficient option for an SUV of its class. However, actual mileage can vary based on driving habits, road conditions, and the vehicles maintenance. For those concerned about running costs, the diesel engine is generally more economical for long-term use, especially if you plan to drive extensively.

Mahindra Scorpio Diesel VLX 4x2 Discussion
I conceive this site, it contains the more important information to the visitors. I am fully satisfied. Its a wonderful car created by Mahindra company.
I would like to know, What percentage of fuel can be saved by implementing the Micro Hybrid technology?
I mean what exactly is the difference between a car with this technology and a car without this technology?
There is one feature in the New 2009 Scorpio which is the best but the least talked about.
I was extremely impressed by this feature. Saw it in the Mighty Muscular Scorpio which my friend Mr. Vijay bought a few days back.
I am talking about the Micro_Hybrid Technology. Its Simply amazing. The Engine Switches Off on its own if it is idling for too long. The engine immediately switches on the moment you press the clutch again.
Save Fuel, Save Environment, Save Money. Great feature!!!
