Mahindra's Maxximo was a mini van brand that was created with the aim of rivalling the Tata Magic and Maruti Omni. It was released in 2015 and was discontinued less than a year later, on October 16th 2015, when it was replaced by the Mahindra Supro. This discontinuation was a surprise to many, as the Maxximo had been seen as a promising product that could have gone on to succeed in the market. However, the Supro was seen as a more advanced and reliable alternative, and this is likely the reason why Mahindra ultimately decided to discontinue the Maxximo.

The Mahindra Maxximo Mini Van was known for its robust design and advanced technology, making it a reliable and efficient transportation solution. It came equipped with features like a rearview camera, parking sensors, and an anti-lock braking system. I think these safety features were a significant selling point for commercial operators.

The Maxximo Mini Van was powered by a 909 cc diesel engine, producing 26 hp at 3600 rpm and a maximum torque of 55 Nm at 1800-2200 rpm. This engine provided a good balance between power and fuel efficiency, with an ARAI certified mileage of 17.2 kmpl. I believe this engine was well-suited for its intended use in urban and rural areas.

I think its durability and low maintenance costs are key factors in its enduring popularity.

Mahindra & Mahindra has officially discontinued the Maxximo Mini Van, replacing it with the more advanced Mahindra Supro in October 2015. This move was likely due to the Supros enhanced features and reliability. I believe this decision was a step in the right direction, as the Supro has received positive feedback from users.
