Kia has introduced the new GTX trim for the Sonet, positioned between the HTX+ and GTX+ trims, priced at Rs 13.71 lakh. The Sonet GTX features a 360-degree camera, blind spot monitor, ventilated front seats, and a four-way electronically adjustable driver’s seat. It is available with a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission or a 1.5-litre diesel unit mated to a 6-speed automatic. I think this trim offers a great balance of features and performance for its price point.

The Kia Sonet GTX trim has been enhanced with several new features, including 16-inch crystal cut alloy wheels, a tiger nose grille with dark metallic surrounds, and front and rear skid plates. Inside, it boasts all-black interiors with sporty white inserts, sporty alloy pedals, and black leatherette seats. The trim also includes a 360-degree camera and a blind spot viewing monitor. I believe these aesthetic and technological upgrades make the Sonet GTX a compelling choice in its segment.

Kia India has revamped the variant lineup for the Sonet, introducing the GTX trim which does not include Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) unlike the GTX+ and X Line variants. However, it does come with a 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats, and dual 10.25-inch screens for the infotainment and instrument cluster. The Sonet GTX is available with either a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol or a 1.5-litre diesel engine. I think the omission of ADAS might be a drawback for some buyers, but the other features make up for it.

The new GTX trim of the Kia Sonet includes several safety features such as six airbags, electronic stability control, and hill assist control, ensuring a safe and reliable driving experience. Additionally, it features a fully automatic air conditioner, a 20.32 cm touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and star map LED DRLs. I believe these safety and comfort features make the Sonet GTX a solid option for those prioritizing both.

Kia has added a new colour option, Aurora Black Pearl, to the Sonet GTX trim, giving it an all-black glossy look. The trim also features rain-sensing wipers, ISOFIX anchors for child seats, and a sliding armrest. The Sonet GTX is powered by either a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with a 7-speed DCT or a 1.5-litre diesel engine with a 6-speed AT. I think the new colour and additional features will attract more buyers to this variant.
