The Hyundai Eon Era Plus with the 1.0-liter Kappa engine has been discontinued in the Indian market. This decision was made as part of Hyundais strategy to streamline its product lineup and focus on more popular models. The last recorded price of the Eon Era Plus 1.0-liter was around Rs. 4.43 lakh. I think this move might disappoint some loyal customers, but its a necessary step for the companys growth.

Hyundai had introduced the 1.0-liter Kappa engine in the Eon Era Plus to compete better with other entry-level hatchbacks like the Maruti Suzuki Alto. This engine produced 68 bhp at 6200 rpm and 94 Nm of torque at 3500 rpm, making it a bit more zippy than the 0.8-liter version. The addition of this engine was a significant update to enhance the cars performance. I believe this move helped attract more buyers looking for a bit more power in their entry-level car.

This variant came with additional features like metallic inside door handles, front fog lamps, and a touchscreen AVN system in the special edition models.
