Honda Amaze VX Exclusive Edition CVT Updates

The Honda Amaze VX CVT is set to be part of the upcoming third-generation Amaze lineup, which is scheduled to debut on December 4, 2024. The new Amaze will be offered in three variants, including the VX, and will feature a 1.2-litre NA petrol engine paired with a CVT gearbox. The width of the new Amaze is increased by 33mm, enhancing its overall design and space.

Honda has confirmed that the new Amaze, including the VX CVT, will come with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), marking a significant upgrade in safety features for the compact sedan. This move is expected to make the Amaze more competitive in the Indian market. I think this addition will be a game-changer for safety-conscious buyers.

The Honda Amaze VX CVT is priced at Rs. 9.80 lakh (ex-showroom) in India and comes in five exciting exterior color options. The car features paddle shifters, strong headlights with LED lights, and a powerful air conditioning unit, making it a comfortable and feature-rich option. I think the value for money offered by this variant is quite compelling.

The Honda Amaze VX CVT continues to impress with its 1.2L i-VTEC engine, producing 89 bhp and 110 Nm of torque, paired with a smooth CVT transmission. The car also boasts a spacious boot with 420 litres of space and features like automatic climate control, parking sensors, and Android Auto/Apple CarPlay. I think the combination of performance and practicality makes this variant a strong contender in its segment.

Honda has made the Amaze available with dealer-level CNG options across India, catering to the growing demand for fuel-efficient vehicles. This move is expected to attract more buyers who are looking for cost-effective alternatives. I believe this addition will help Honda tap into a broader market segment.

The Honda Amaze VX CVT continues to be praised for its smooth and seamless CVT transmission, which is particularly beneficial in Indias chaotic city traffic. The CVT gearbox is noted for its lack of head nod and perfect creep speed, making it ideal for bumper-to-bumper navigation. I believe this makes the Amaze a great choice for daily city driving.

The Honda Amaze Elite Edition, launched on October 3, 2023, brings several new features and design tweaks to the table. This special edition is based on the VX variant and is available with both manual and automatic (CVT) transmissions, priced at Rs. 9.04 lakh and Rs. 9.86 lakh respectively. It includes additions like an Elite Edition badge, boot spoiler with built-in LED, front fender garnish, and anti-fog film on ORVMs. I think these updates make the Amaze look more premium and appealing.

Honda has introduced the Elite Edition of the Amaze with enhanced interior features, including TPMS, a front armrest with a sliding function, a tyre inflator, and Elite Edition-specific seat covers and illuminated scuff plates. These additions improve the overall comfort and convenience of the vehicle. I believe these features will be a significant draw for potential buyers looking for a more luxurious driving experience.

In terms of features, the Honda Amaze VX CVT comes equipped with a range of amenities including automatic climate control, rear AC vents, parking sensors, and a touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. However, some users have noted the absence of features like a sunroof and modern-day connectivity suite. I think these omissions are notable but dont detract significantly from the overall value.

The Honda Amaze VX CVT is powered by a 1.2L i-VTEC engine that produces 89 bhp and 110 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed CVT gearbox. This combination provides a certified mileage of 19.46 kmpl, making it a fuel-efficient option in its segment. I believe the engines refinement and the CVTs smoothness make for a pleasant driving experience.

The Amaze VX CVT boasts a spacious boot with 416 litres of capacity, which is one of the best in its class. This, combined with its comfortable ride and handling, makes it a versatile choice for both city and highway driving. I think the boot space is a major selling point for families and travelers.

Users have praised the Honda Amaze VX CVT for its confidence-inspiring ride and handling, which feels like a car from a higher segment. The suspension is noted for its ability to absorb the roughness of Indian roads, reducing physical and mental stress during long journeys. I believe this is a testament to Hondas engineering prowess.

The Honda Amaze VX CVT is available in six colors: Platinum White Pearl, Lunar Silver Metallic, Golden Brown Metallic, Obsidian Blue Pearl, Meteoroid Grey Metallic, and Radiant Red Metallic. This variety gives buyers several options to choose from, enhancing the vehicles appeal. I think the color options are quite attractive and should cater to different tastes.

In terms of safety, the Honda Amaze VX CVT features anti-lock braking system (ABS), driver and passenger airbags, and electronic stability control, ensuring a safe driving experience. These safety features are crucial in the Indian market where road conditions can be challenging. I believe these features are essential and well-implemented.

The Honda Amaze VX CVT is priced at around Rs 10.15 lakh (ex-showroom) in New Delhi, making it a competitive option in the sub-four metre sedan segment. It competes directly with the Maruti Dzire ZXI Plus AMT and other similarly priced variants. I think the pricing is reasonable given the features and performance.
